Planetary ball milling is a sample preparation process that uses a planetary ball mill which consists of grinding jars arranged eccentrically. The grinding balls in the grinding jars are subjected to superimposed rotational movements such that material inside get powdered into micro or nano sized particles in a relatively short time due to very high pulverization energy. In addition, material could be homogenized using the ball mill.
