GJRTI Alumni Association

The GJRTI Alumni Association, officially established in 2019 and registered under the Societies Ordinance, serves as a dynamic platform connecting past students, industry professionals, and the institute. Our alumni community reflects the strength and diversity of the gem and jewellery sector—spanning local artisans, international professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.

The Alumni Network was created to foster lifelong connections, encourage professional collaboration, and support the continued growth of the gem and jewellery industry. Through events, networking opportunities, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship programmes, the alumni association plays an active role in enriching both the personal and professional journeys of its members.

By maintaining strong ties with our graduates, GJRTI continues to build a thriving community that supports innovation, excellence, and leadership in the gem and jewellery field. We invite all past students to stay connected, contribute, and grow with us as we shape the future of the industry together.

Membership Types

Membership shall consist of three categories:

Ordinary Members

Any person who is passed out from the Institute shall be eligible to apply for Ordinary membership of the Association.

Associate Members

Any graduate of a recognized institute who is or has been a member of the academic or administrative or non-academic staff of the Institute

Any person who is or has been a professional of a gem and jewellery industry and actively maintained the relationship with the Institute.

or

Any person who is or has been a staff grade officer at the institute shall be eligible to apply for associate membership of the Association.

Affiliate Members

Any student who is following courses in the institute

Honorary Members

Any person who is not eligible for full or associate membership but has rendered distinguished service to the Institute and/or to the Association

or

Any person who has been shown an outstanding performance in academic activities shall be eligible for honorary membership of the Association/ or in the industry.

There will be two types of Ordinary Membership and associate membership: life members and section members.
