Characterization of Inclusions in Geuda and Introduction of New Heat Treatment Methods to the Industry
In the geuda industry, selecting the right geuda that will produce high-quality sapphires is a challenging task. Many gem traders struggle due to a lack of knowledge about identifying geuda with the best potential for heat treatment. One major issue is the presence of different mineral inclusions mixed with rutile in geuda. Some inclusions improve the final result, while others negatively impact the process. Proper identification of these inclusions is crucial for the industry.
Additionally, limitations still exist in current geuda heat treatment techniques. Some challenges arise due to furnace conditions, while others require optimization of technology to achieve high-quality sapphires. Therefore, this project aims to introduce a modified furnace and advanced heat treatment techniques to improve the industry.
