At GJRTI, our Training Division is central to our mission of elevating professionalism and craftsmanship in the gem and jewellery industry. We are dedicated to building a skilled, knowledgeable workforce that supports every stage of the value chain—from mining and processing to manufacturing and trading. Through a combination of world-class education and practical, hands-on training, we are helping to shape the future of the industry in Sri Lanka and beyond.
We currently offer 21 comprehensive training programmes through 15 regional centers island-wide. Developed in collaboration with industry experts, these programmes cover the full spectrum of gem and jewellery specializations, ensuring global relevance and alignment with current market needs.
Our courses are accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and lead to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), providing participants with industry-recognized credentials. GJRTI is also proud to be an accredited teaching Centre for Gem-A (The Gemmological Association of Great Britain), offering internationally respected gemmology courses right here in Sri Lanka.
